Dr. David Carden
Dr. David Carden finished his undergraduate degree at Miami (Ohio) University where he received a B.S. in Zoology. His dental degree came from the University of Louisville where he graduated with honors. Dr. Carden’s hospital residency in general dentistry was carried out at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as the US Naval Hospital. For two years, the USS Grand Canyon’s crew received dental care from Dr. Carden who acted as the ship’s dental officer. After his active military service Dr. Carden worked toward and earned his post-doctoral certificate back at the University of Louisville.
In 1980, Dr. Carden opened his private practice in Jacksonville Beach. He maintains active memberships in: the Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, American College of Dentists (Fellow), American and Florida Dental Associations, and served as President of the Florida Association of Orthodontists from 2004 to 2005.
